^^^ ready to go! ^^^
^^^ food trucks at the race? sounds good to me ^^^
^^^ there was also a small petting zoo with this little guy ^^^
^^^ bailey is ready to race! ^^^
^^^ patrick and my family came to support me
and ran the race, too! ^^^
this morning, i had the pleasure of participating in the annual
world concern “free them” 5k to fight the prevalence of human trafficking.
i have to admit, i was slightly nervous to participate.
i would hardly consider myself a “runner,” but i have been trying my best
to run and train over the past two weeks.
and let me tell you, with one 5k under my belt,
i cannot wait to sign up for the next one!
it was incredibly motivating to have my family alongside me,
as well as 2,500 fellow runners.
would you like to know who ran over half the race? bailey.
she was one tired pup by the end, but she finished in style –
racing across the finish line in her red scarf.
to the people of world concern, thank you again
for reaching out to me and encouraging me to participate in this event.
i will definitely be back!
