**little letters inspired by this post.
“we have to be able to grow up. our wrinkles are our medals of the passage of life. they are what we have been through and who we want to be.”–lauren hutton
last month, i celebrated my 31st birthday! (i am a bit behind on my blog, and you can read more about that here.) for me, birthdays are about coming together with loved ones and reflecting on the year ahead. 30 was a busy, yet productive year—i graduated from my certificate program, created content for my blog (and implemented a new design), pursued a new volunteer opportunity, and traveled to hawaii, nebraska, london, paris, barcelona, and amsterdam. (can i go back?) it was a great year!
on my birthday, i met my parents, brother, and greg for a delicious dinner. (and i bought this jumpsuit to celebrate the occasion.) we had a wonderful time! and now, a few things that are front-of-mind in the form of little letters!
dear eliza j dress, i can’t tell you how much i love your delicate floral pattern, vibrant blue color, and wrap style. the ruffles at your hem are the perfect finishing touch!
dear easter candy, why must you be so delicious? i’ve already stocked up on cadbury mini eggs and and reese’s peanut butter eggs! (i won’t tell you how many bags i’ve eaten.)
dear laugh lines, i don’t mind that you’ve become more prominent in the last two+ years. while i could live without the furrow between my brows, i think laugh lines are signs of beauty and happiness.
dear bailey, i miss you! you were with us for my last 16 birthdays, and there was a tangible whole in my heart amid your absence. sending hugs to you, my sweet pup.
dear mom, dad, nicholas, and greg, thank you for spoiling me on my birthday! our dinner together was delicious.
dear spring weather, where did you go? you made an appearance in late march and early april, but our perpetual rain and gray skies are back. i’m ready to dig out my spring shoes and dresses, please!
dear rob thomas song “one less day,” i’ve been listening to you on repeat for three+ weeks. you have a great beat and are a reminder to leave each day to its full potential.
dear brunch, you’ve quickly become my favorite hobby. (can brunch be considered a hobby? if so, you’re my number one.) omelettes, scrambles, french toast, pancakes—i’ll take one of each.
dear bangs, i can’t decide whether or not to keep you. at times, i love having you. and at times, i regret cutting you. decisions, decisions! (i’m leaning towards growing you out during the summer months.)
dear glitter-heel sandals, where have you been all my life? while you aren’t the most practical, i love the fun pop you add to an outfit.

thank you for your patience during my absence, and again, i look forward to creating new content in the coming weeks! i have several photo shoots scheduled and a travel guide (or two) to catch up on. enjoy the week!
