disclosure: thank you, my sister’s closet boutique for providing me the clothing featured in today’s post. all opinions are my own!
a few months ago (while scrolling through instagram), i stumbled upon my sister’s closet boutique (mscb), an affordable online clothing store. based in draper and spanish fork, utah, mscb carries both dressy and casual styles. the majority of their clothing and accessories are bohemian inspired—they’re adorable!
last summer, mscb reached out to see if i would be interested in an ongoing collaboration. (they offered to provide me two pieces of clothing each month in exchange for a post on social media.) and i have to admit, i had a hard time choosing just two styles! i also appreciate mscb’s price points (most items are under $50); the varying styles (everything from graphic t-shirts to semi-formal dresses); the inclusive sizing (mscb carries small–3x in most styles); the free shipping on orders over $50; and a generous 30-day free return policy. they make shopping online easy and fun!
mscb’s website also features style tips and jargon—this is particularly helpful if you’re shopping for a gift and are unsure of a specific trend or style to purchase.
as girls, we know the word ‘dress’ is deceptively simple. there’s no such thing as just a ‘dress,’ and instead, this word represents dozens of styles of skirts, bodices, colors, styles, waistlines, necklines, and embellishments that are as different from one another as night and day.” –source
today, i’m rounding up a few of my favorite pieces from mscb, including:
blue midi dress

i wore this dress to work several times over the summer! the modest length was perfect for the office, and the soft fabric was comfortable for summer barbecues and outdoor events.
girl power tee

every gal needs a #girlpower tee, am i right? i have an obsession with graphic t-shirts. (in fact, i often wear them to work under blazers and cardigans.) and this girl power tee is no exception! it’s slightly oversized (i’m wearing a small), and can be tucked into jeans or a skirt for a more fitted look.
70s-inspired jumpsuit
i love the button details on this jumpsuit. (the jumpsuit itself has tiny polka dots—they’re darling!)

and when you’re twinning with your bestie, she jumps in for a photo! i love this burnt orange for fall. it reminds me of all things pumpkin, including pumpkin candles, trips to the pumpkin patch, and the iconic pumpkin-spice latte! as temperatures cool down, throw on a chunky cardigan or denim jacket over this jumpsuit.
kortni jeane swimwear

new to mscb this season is swimwear! they carry darling, modest suits by kortni jeane. i love print mixing and chose the grapefruit-print top and striped bottoms. (if you prefer a cohesive look, you can also purchase a matching top and bottom.)
striped dress

this photo was taken last spring, and unfortunately, the exact print is now sold out. i linked a similar option above! the “good as gone” dress is equally cute for fall—simply add tights, boots, and a moto jacket, as needed.
yellow lace dress
photos by hello rigby ; dress: c/o my sister’s closet boutique
this lace dress is my favorite piece from mscb to date! the quality reminds me of something i would purchase in a department store or high-end boutique. (and it retails for $48—if interested, i encourage you to purchase this dress soon, as it will surely sell out.) i wore this dress to work with a navy blazer, and i think it is perfect for a wedding, bridal shower, etc.
yellow is one of those polarizing colors—many people either love or hate wearing yellow. i think you can guess which camp i’m in. 😉 if yellow isn’t your color, mscb has a similar white and/or sage option!
a special thank you to mscb for providing me the clothing and accessories featured in today’s post. they’ve graciously offered a discount code for all of you. use code “DIARY10” at checkout for 10% off your purchase. and happy shopping!
