happy thanksgiving, everyone! for me, today is about coming together with loved ones to express gratitude for the blessings in my life. i hope the holiday brings you similar happiness, as we celebrate this joyous time of year!

my family and i will head to my aunt and uncle’s house for thanksgiving dinner. (this is after we enjoy a breakfast feast at home—my mom makes the most delicious pumpkin chocolate-chip muffins.) we will be joined by my boyfriend greg, two of my cousins, grandma, and a close family friend. unfortunately, my brother has to work, so we will celebrate with him later this weekend.

and now, a few things i am thankful for this year in the form of little letters!

dear thanksgiving, while you’re often overlooked (or hurried through) in anticipation of christmas, you’re truly a special day. i look forward to spending time with family and friends as we reflect on the numerous blessings in our lives.

dear pumpkin spice creamer, why, oh why must you be so delicious? though i suppose you save me a few calories—compared to a pumpkin-spice latte—so i won’t feel too guilty for my indulgence.

dear final days of fall, you’re beautiful. though it sure feels like winter!

dear 80s music station on spotify, we were made for each other. (and thank you to my coworker and dear friend, alexis, for introducing us.) pat benatar, fleetwood mac, orleans, and ac/dc are among my favorites.

dear abercrombie & fitch parka, thank you for keeping me warm this fall and winter. (i bought this down-filled jacket, now on sale for 50% off.)

dear bailey (our dachshund), your 16 years with us have truly been a blessing. we love and thank you for hanging in there. i know your leg and hips bother you, and i hope you’re not in too much pain. extra snuggles (and treats) for you today!

dear midi dresses, i can’t stop buying you. you’re perfect for work, a night out, brunch, and seemingly every other occasion i can fathom.

dear family, thank you for your love, kindness, and support this year (and every year). i love you and can’t wait to celebrate the upcoming holiday season!

dear all of you, thank you, thank you for reading and supporting this blog. whether you’re a new or long-time follower, i appreciate you taking time out of your day to enjoy my creative outlet. blessings to you and yours this holiday season!

happy october, everyone! after returning home from our trip, i’m very behind on publishing blog posts. however, i have several draft posts in the works and photo shoots scheduled—i look forward to posting on a consistent schedule very soon. in the meantime, an ode to all things fall in the form of little letters. =)

dear rhein haus, thank you for serving delicious pretzels. your weekend brunch—menu items and accompanying price point—is perfection.

dear seattle fall weather, did we skip you? it sure feels like winter outside!

dear laundry that won’t stop piling up, i promise i’ll get to you one of these days. it’s not my fault i’d rather sip tea and watch netflix than finish chores.

dear nordstrom e bar cappuccino, why oh why must you taste so delicious? and cost $5. and you surely aren’t healthy. despite these facts, i don’t think i’m ready to give you up.

dear “i believe in red lipstick tee,” you were made for me. whenever my outfit is lacking, or i crave a little boost in my beauty routine, adding red lipstick improves my mood.

^^ we couldn’t help but take a shoe shot in our colorful skirts. ^^

dear maroon 5, your song, “girls like you,” is incredibly addicting. i listen to it on repeat. again. and again. and again!

dear paris, you stole my heart. i loved every minute spent exploring, and i can’t wait to visit again. (hold me to that, okay?)

dear fall fashion, i am wholly trying to embrace you, but i still have summer on my mind.

little letters :: ready for spring edition

** inspired by this blog post **
dear spring, please bring the sun (and warmer
temperatures) around soon.
dear white boots, while somewhat impractical, i can’t
help but love you. you’ll be on major repeat this spring.
dear midi dresses, i can’t stop buying you. you’re
perfect for work, brunch, a night out, and seemingly
any (and every) other event i can imagine.
^^^ aforementioned white boots–see what i mean?! ^^^
dear clear umbrella, how did i survive
six years of blogging (and subsequent rainy day
outfit photos) without you?
dear iced coffee, it’s been a while! welcome
back, and please be ready to be consumed (by me)
on the regular.
dear easter weekend, i can almost taste
the brunch, copious amounts of chocolate,
and homemade chicken dinner that will be consumed
in the presence of family. i can’t wait!
dear zara, when is your next end-of-season
sale? i’m in desperate need of shoes. and jeans.
and perhaps a few new dresses.
dear gym membership, oh how i’ve neglected you.
and what great timing with spring in full swing
(minus the sunshine) and a beach vacation right around
the corner. let’s get reacquainted!
dear eyelash extensions, how i love you!
and the amount of time you save me each morning.
but you’ve depleted my bank account.
dress: zara, faux fur: forever 21,
boots: franco sarto (similar here), ring: charming charlie,

little letters: fall edition

though it is still officially fall,
it feels more like winter in seattle. we even experienced
our first snowfall; too soon, too soon! with the cold
weather (unfortunately), i was forced to dig out my heavy
jackets,  scarves, and weather-resistant boots.
i am eager to find new, and somewhat discrete, ways to layer,
as my black down jacket is a bit overdone.
confession: these photos were taken prior
to our recent cold front…
dear high-waisted skinny jeans,
i hope you never go out of style.
dear iced americanos,
despite the cold weather, you remain my
favorite caffeinated beverage.
dear pandora radio,
thank you for reminding me of my love for
all songs by mat kearney. ‘sooner or later,’
you’re an oldie, but such a gem.
dear overnight oats,
you have become my saving grace for breakfast.
dear leopard flats,
you are one of my favorite thrifted finds.
speaking of thrifted finds, i think i need to
do a bit of thrift shopping this weekend. who wants
to join?
dear oversized handbags,
i have a love-hate relationship with you.
you make it seemingly impossible to ever
find that essential crucial pin or my favorite chapstick!

dear cozy sweaters,
i plan to live in you from now until june.
#sosadbuttrue
dear lady yum,
why must you be located across the street from
my office? it is less than ideal for my insatiable
sweet tooth (but in all seriousness, the toffee and espresso
macarons are to die for!).
dear hair,
please keep growing. thank you!
dear weekend,
i am beyond happy that you are here.
dear bedroom,
i promise to clean and organize you in the next
few days. and decorate. and put away all that
crap stuff currently on the floor. whoops!
sweater: loft, jeans and purse: american eagle,
flats: thrifted (via seattle goodwill), rings: forever 21,

have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
xoxo.
