…fun run to stop human trafficking
on saturday, may 11th, i will be participating in (my first!) 5k.
this is the fifth annual run in seattle, and last year’s event raised $143,000 in
order to protect women and children from human trafficking.
the run is hosted by world concern, and proceeds
will directly benefit local women and children.
they will be provided with education and opportunities to
safely and healthily support themselves.
it is only $25 to participate in the 5k (and $30 for the 10k).
world concern is currently halfway to their donations goal,
so your participation will greatly help.
if you are not from seattle, or not able to attend on may 11th,
there are other tangible ways for you to contribute.
