**little letters inspired by this post.
happy new year, everyone! new year, new me. (i know you’ll often hear this sentiment in january, but i’ve truly taken it to heart—i chopped my hair and cut bangs, de-cluttered my closet, and re-designed my website.) i look forward to other changes—and little victories—in 2019!
after a busy, yet productive weekend, i wanted to share what’s on my mind and a few goals i have for myself in the year ahead. to be honest, i’m feeling a bit under the weather today—darn cold/flu season—and don’t want to move off my couch.
so, let’s get started.
dear 2019, we’re off to a great start! together, we can take on the world—new year, new hair, new organizational methods, new glasses, new website layout; things are looking g-r-e-a-t! i hope we continue to make progress in the year ahead. (if we’re speaking honestly, i sure wouldn’t mind a promotion at work and/or additional brand partnerships on my blog and social media platforms.) let’s make these goals come to fruition.
dear ballet shoes, i plan to put you to work! (in case you missed it, last fall, i signed up for an adult ballet class. i’m entering my seventh week, and i absolutely love it.) now, do i need some new ballet tights and leotards?
dear mark ronson and miley cyrus song, “nothing breaks like a heart,” you’re quite catchy! i can’t stop listening to you. whether i’m cleaning or attempting to workout, you’re my song of choice.
dear closet, let’s make a pact to stay better organized. you’re quite nice when you’re clean and free from clutter. #wecandoit
dear velvet top + pants, i can’t stop wearing you. you’re perfect for a new year’s celebration, work, brunch with friends, and seemingly any other occasion!
dear debit card, we had a nice run this holiday season. (between the black friday and boxing day sales, we’ve been busy!) but now, it’s time to budget. and save. and stop buying coffee, lunch, and all the other things i waste money on.
(i had to share this fun blooper in today’s post—my face when the confetti went everywhere. LOL!)
dear bangs, i’m still debating whether you were a terrible idea. fortunately, you’re just hair and will grow back (eventually).
dear everything faux fur, i know, i know—i don’t need to buy you. (how many faux-fur jackets does a girl need?) but you’re cozy and warm! and while you’re not entirely practical in the pnw, you’re fun to wear regardless!
