frequently asked questions
get to know megan—the girl behind the blog!
“where were you born?” i was born in kansas city, kansas.
“where do you live?” i currently live in seattle, washington. the pacific northwest is home, but i could envision myself (someday) living in california. this girl loves the sunshine!
“do you drive to work?” i commute to work via bus—seattle traffic is no joke!
“what is your favorite food?” my favorite food (since childhood) is peas, though ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, and pizza are close seconds.
“do you travel?” i love to travel and just returned from amsterdam, paris, barcelona, and london. i hope to fit additional travel into my calendar very soon!
“how do you meet and spend time with fellow bloggers?” when i first began blogging, going to events and potentially meeting up with fellow bloggers was intimidating. what if their blog was better? what if they had a larger audience? what would they be like in person? i quickly realized how supportive and welcoming the blogging community can be, particularly in seattle. try your best to calm your nerves and put yourself out there!
“do you have any pets?” my family has a sixteen-year-old dachshund, bailey! she is often featured on my blog and social media. bailey is a beloved family member, and much of our home decor is dachshund-themed.
“how do you curl your hair?” i use this curling wand, wrapping small chunks of hair. i typically leave my ends straight (focusing the curl near the roots and mid-section). after letting the curls cool, i brush them out and spray with a medium-hold hairspray. (spoiler alert: my curling wand is less than $15.)
“where did your blog name come from?” interestingly, diary of this girl came to me on a whim. i liked the idea of referring to my blog as an online diary. it allows me to write honestly about a variety of subjects—i don’t necessarily feel confined to posting about one topic.
